A Healthy Homemade Mocha Frappuccino To Start Your Day

A Healthy Homemade Mocha Frappuccino To Start Your Day

Many times, we achieve optimal health through the little things we incorporate into our daily habits and routines.

As a Ph.D. Geneticist and CEO at Agribody Technologies, Inc., Dr. Jerry Feitelson understands the significant role of gut health and prebiotic fiber in his immune system function and overall well-being. Recently, Dr. Feitelson shared how he has made Oligo30™ a vital part of his morning routine with this high fiber smoothie recipe.

According to Dr. Feitelson, “I use a scoop of the product daily in my morning coffee-fruit smoothie.

Dr. Feitelson took the time to share his wholesome mocha make-over prebiotic fiber recipe, which he uses daily as a base for Oligo30™:

Healthy Mocha Frappuccino Blended Coffee Alternative
• 1½ cups espresso coffee
• 2 tbsp Blue Agave Nectar
• 4 small packets or 16 drops of stevia sweetener
• ¼ tsp Madagascar Vanilla Extract
• 25 ice cubes
• ½ cup Fat-Free Half-and-Half
• 2 tbsp Unsweetened Hershey’s or Trader Joe’s 100% cacao powder
• ¼ cup frozen blueberries
• ¼ cup frozen mangoes
• 1 frozen banana
Add coffee to a small microwavable bowl. If not already hot, microwave on high for 45 seconds, or until the coffee is steaming. Add the agave nectar, stevia, vanilla and cocoa powder. Stir until the coffee, nectar, vanilla and cacao powder are dissolved. Add 6 ice cubes & stir to accelerate melting the ice. When the ice is almost melted, pour into the blender jar containing blueberries, mangoes and banana. Rinse bowl with the half-and-half and add to the blender jar. Blend on high for ~15 sec to homogenize. Add the remaining 24 – 30 ice cubes so the liquid reaches the 40-ounce (5 cup) marker on the blender jar. Blend on Puree speed for 30 seconds, or until thick & slushy. Pour into two 16-ounce (2 cup) tumblers. Serve with a straw, if desired.
Makes 2½ large 20 oz. servings.

By including a scoop of Oligo30™ in each serving of this high fiber smoothie recipe, Dr. Feitelson adds six different sources of prebiotics for outstanding digestive health benefits.
