Perfect Prebiotic Sweet Treat Recipes

When that sweet tooth strikes, it can leave you with a hankering for all the wrong stuff. But with these prebiotic sweet treat recipes, you can indulge knowing that what you’re putting in your body is satisfying AND good for you!

Hazelnut Spread

Ingredients

2/3 cup of hazelnuts
1 cup cacao powder mixed with 1 scoop of Great Gut Prebiotic Fiber®
1⁄4 teaspoon of salt
1⁄2 cup of coconut oil
4 tablespoons of maple syrup for added sweetness

Instructions 

  1. Soak hazelnuts in water overnight. The next day, drain and rinse well.
  1. Place the hazelnuts in a blender or food processor and blend until fine. Add salt and combine ingredients. Alternate adding cacao/prebiotic powder mix and coconut oil, blending to combine as you switch back and forth between each ingredient. Repeat until you’ve combined the rest of the remaining ingredients. Slowly add maple syrup until you achieve desired consistency.
  1. Store in airtight container in fridge for up to one week.

 
Prebiotic Pina Colada Green Smoothie

Ingredients

1 cup of plain yogurt
1 cup of fresh baby spinach
½ cup of frozen pineapple chunks
1 scoop of Great Gut Prebiotic Fiber®
½ cup of coconut water

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients together in blender, and blend 10-20 seconds or until all ingredients are combined well.
  2. Pour and enjoy!

Prebiotic Banana Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Ingredients

4 ripe Bananas
2 cups of quick oats
1/4 cup of Almond Milk
1 scoop of Great Gut Prebiotic Fiber®
¼ cup of raisins

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mash the bananas and combine with quick oats, prebiotic fiber and almond milk. Stir ingredients together, and mix in raisins.
  3. Spoon cookie dough onto greased cookie sheet, and bake for 15-20 minutes.
